Reinforced timing belts employ a special technology that minimizes stress during tooth fabric molding to match the unique tooth shape of each engine. Because no undue stress is applied to the aramid and nylon fibers that make up the contact area with the crankshaft and camshaft pulleys, a highly durable tooth fabric is achieved. Furthermore, the "tooth rubber" used on the inside of the tooth fabric utilizes highly saturated H-NBR to suppress deformation. This allows the belt to absorb the force while driving the camshaft pulley with high strength, ensuring accurate valve timing is maintained over a long period.
