Due to the difficulty of specifying productivity, cost, and usage environments, it is not possible to manufacture a profile that prioritizes gas sealing performance with standard pistons.

In addition, cylinders are manufactured as separate cylinder blocks on the automobile manufacturer's production line, and while there is cylindrical precision as a separate unit, there is no cylindrical precision when the cylinder head is attached.

When using oversized pistons with the correct profile, TOMEI recommends attaching a dummy head and boring the cylinder after distorting it, which improves assembly precision and gas sealing during engine assembly.
