Winter-ready models for competition and sports-type motorcycles.
This car is recommended for the following types of vehicles.
D1 cars, Formula D participating cars, time attack cars, gymkhana cars, motorcycles, and cars using PG55 TA.
It can be used in gasoline and diesel engines from all automobile manufacturers.
Because it is primarily composed of pure water, which has a high ability to absorb engine heat, it has the characteristic of not easily overheating.
It also contains rust inhibitors and defoaming agents, so it is formulated to not put a strain on the radiator or engine.
Since it does not use any glycol-based solvents, there is no need for anti-slip treatment even if it spills on the road surface.
Because it contains special alcohol, it has antifreeze properties down to -20°C despite being a pure water-based coolant.
The long-life coolant pre-filled in commercially available vehicles, as well as the engine coolant sold for replacement, uses a chemical liquid called "glycol." This glycol has properties such as antifreeze in winter and heat absorption, but as a liquid, it has viscoelastic properties. Therefore, if glycol-based coolant spills on the road surface, it becomes slippery, requiring course treatment similar to that of oil. For this reason, motorcycle races in Japan limit engine coolant to "water."
This idea has spread to motorsports, and regulations prohibiting the use of glycol-based coolants have been established in international drift competitions.
However, using plain water as engine coolant is not advisable. This is because it deteriorates quickly, requiring replacement after every mileage; it lacks rust prevention and cavitation prevention measures; and drinking water-grade water has a low heat capacity, causing the water temperature to rise easily.
Therefore, PG55GT does not use any glycol-based liquids with viscoelastic properties, and its main component is highly purified water (pure water) filtered by Chemitech. The pure water produced by Chemitech has a very high specific heat (ability to absorb heat) compared to general coolants, making it suitable as a coolant for high-power engines that generate a lot of heat and for engines used in sports driving that frequently utilize high RPMs .
To this pure water, we added additives such as rust inhibitors and defoaming agents to prevent cavitation. Furthermore, we blended in a special alcohol to give it antifreeze properties down to -20°C , so that it won't freeze even in winter temperatures below freezing, despite being "water."
Thus, PG55GT is an engine coolant that, while possessing the characteristics required for sporty driving in a high-power engine, also has the characteristic of minimizing the impact on following vehicles and the progress of the race even if a coolant leak occurs on the track .
Please note that PG55GT is a motorsport-specific product, and therefore its replacement method and replacement cycle differ from those of typical engine coolants. We recommend purchasing and replacing it at a tuning or motorsport specialist shop.
