The Fine Tune reinforced V-belt is an engine bay tuning part: it dresses up the engine bay while using up-to-date belt technology to protect the condition of your car.

Benefits of the current-generation construction

• High-temperature durability, which matters as tuning raises engine bay temperatures.
• Low-temperature performance for use in cold climates.
• Light weight and high wear resistance mean the belt does not need excessive tension, which also reduces belt squeal.

Because it is light, the belt follows rotational speed changes well, so as well as cutting squeal it transmits drive efficiently.

Appearance

• The back face is blue — the same blue used on HKS intake hoses — with an HKS logo design, so it coordinates with the rest of the engine bay. Dyed nylon fabric is used so the colour resists fading. Note: some belts are supplied in a different colour.
• The HKS logo, product name and belt length are printed on the belt.

Why EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber

• Compared with the materials used in conventional V-belts, EPDM is improved across a wide range of measures including high-temperature durability, low-temperature durability and wear resistance.
• It has the lowest specific gravity of the materials used in conventional V-belts, so it brings a weight saving.
• Blending in short fibres and using the compound for the rib rubber produces benefits in every respect that older belt materials cannot match.
